Museveni seeks Lucas Meso’s help

With less than a week to Uganda’s 2016 general election (set for 18th Feb) the leading contenders Kaguta Museveni, Kizza Besigye & Amama Mbabazi are doing all they can to outdo and outfox each other.

President Museveni realizing that most communities around border districts lead interwoven lives with residents being related through business links, intermarriages as well as a common culture, has acted fast to edge out his rivals.

In what seems as a definite game changer, Museveni has reached out to one Mr.Lucas Meso a prominent Kenyan technocrat from Busia Kenya. Meso has been asked to reach out to Ugandans residing in Busia as well as those Busians with Ugandan voters cards to cast their votes in favour of President Museveni’s National Resistance Movement.

With this in motion, President Museveni will most likely bag a sizable chunck of Busia Uganda votes.

Not left behind is Nairobi governor, Hon.Evans Kidero who has equally sought the help of Bwana Meso is ensuring that the Luhya community in Nairobi backs him yet again in 2017. it remains interesting to see whether the luhya vote in Nairobi will be swayed by Khalwale who remains at loggerhead with Governor Kidero or whether Mr.Meso will triumph in reigniting the trust the Nairobi based Luhyas had in the Governor.

As matters unfold both in Uganda and in Nairobi, we can just sit back and watch  !!
